J. KILLEN - J. Killen is a Los Angeles-based Americana artist and lifelong songwriter whose music draws from the deep well of country, folk, and traditional American sounds. Raised on storytelling songs and road-worn melodies, he began writing at a young age and spent years honing his craft while living in Austin, Texas, a city known for its rich musical heritage. During that time he toured and performed in a variety of projects, developing a voice shaped by long highways, late-night sets, and the communal spirit of live music.
After stepping away from music for a period, Killen eventually returned with a renewed sense of purpose and a clearer vision for his songwriting. The time away sharpened his perspective, bringing a more personal and independent spirit to his work. That ethos carries through his debut release, Goin' It Alone, a collection of songs rooted in classic Americana traditions while reflecting the determination of an artist carving his own path forward.
EVER MORE NEST - Rooted in Southern musical traditions and infused with confessional ’90s angst, Ever More Nest’s music can lull and rock you right off a front porch. Their dynamic, homegrown voice—wrapped in lush, church-pew harmonies—is complemented by ghostly guitars, spirited mandolin and banjo, mournful fiddle, and a rhythm section steady as a country train.
The band’s name comes from a line in a poem by Mary Ann Samyn that songwriter and bandleader Kelcy Wilburn felt captured both nostalgia for and discomfort with place. That theme carries through their music, including their debut The Place That You Call Home, which explores the question “Just where do I belong?”, and their sophomore album Out Here Now, released August 19, 2022.
JONATHAN HENLEY - Born in Nashville, raised on David Olney and Steve Earle, Jonathan Henley has long had an appreciation for singer songwriters. “I remember when I was 14, my dad took me to a Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan show at Greer Stadium. I went down to the stage to watch Willie, but fell asleep for most of Dylan’s set. The next day I put on the ‘The Essential Bob Dylan’. When ‘Positively 4th street’ came on I knew that writing songs was all I wanted to do.” After attending school in Florida and bouncing around for a few years, Henley found himself busking on the streets of New Orleans. “I was making about $ 5 a day but was hearing and playing with some of the best musicians I’ve ever met.” With some of these musicians Henley recorded his first album, “Reel Time”, with Bill Howard and Duff Thompson of Mashed Potato Records, live to a reel-to-reel tape recorder. His song “Here to Stay” (Reel Time) was featured on “Mashed Potato Records Comp 1” and Nashville based Youtube channel GemsOnVHS. While still gigging and busking, Henley continues to put out new material, his third album "Dirty Time" is out now.
